Growing Pinto Beans

Growing Pinto Beans Indoors

The pinto beans need to be placed on a damp paper towel till they do not sprout. The beans need to be placed in a plastic bag along with the damp paper in a warm, dark place. When you see the beans sprout after 5 to 7 days, you can plant them in the prepared soil. You can even try soaking the beans overnight in warm water and then plant them.

  1. This is so much fun to do with toddlers. Me and Dakota grew pinto beans and my absolute favorite part was seeing her journal drawing documenting what we did. Such a simple activity but so meaningful to them!
